The Tattersall’s Shooters Interest Group is for Members, their families and guests, who would like to try various shooting disciplines involving shotguns, rifles and handguns. Interested shooters do not need to be licensed, as other licensed Members will assist beginners with initial instruction in firearm safety and help with coaching.
Tattersall’s Shooters Interest Group hosts a number of events each year including clay target, military rifle, vintage firearms and pistols. Events are usually held on the weekend at Belmont Shooting Complex on the southside of Brisbane, and last around two to three hours. First time shooters are encouraged in a safe range environment, under the supervision of safety officers and the range officer. Safety training is conducted during the year and friendly intra-Club and inter-Club competitions are scheduled.
Members of Tattersall’s Club may join for $50 per annum deducted from your Club account and new Members receive a free Tattersall’s Shooters Club cap. Please see Lynn or Lizzie in the O'Duffy Library on Level 1 of the Club for a New Member Registration Form and an Information Sheet 2017.
The calendar of events for 2017 includes sporting clays, rifle and vintage rifle events, handguns and a visit to a Darling Downs homestead. Members will receive details of upcoming events by email.
