Tattersall’s vision has been to create a meeting place for like-minded people. Founded in 1865 by a group
of prominent businessmen with a passion for horse racing, who at first met at various hotels around the
city. From 1888 until 1926 the Club occupied six different premises before it built on Edward Street, with

Club membership now includes men and women from all walks of life, and the list of Club services are as
extensive as its history.
Your day can start in the Health and Wellness Centre followed by a fortifying breakfast in the Healy Room.
For others, the Library is their refuge for quiet industry with a hot drink and sandwich points. The Business
Centre provides a dedicated work space, complemented by private rooms to host meetings or corporate
On weekdays, the Members’ Bar is open from 10am until 8pm, and the Members’ Dining Room hosts
famously long lunches from midday, Monday to Friday. The Healy Room offers the same exemplary
service in a less formal setting for daily breakfasts including weekends, weekday lunches and dinner
Monday to Saturday.
