Dress Denim Precincts
From 1 January 2020, dress denim may be worn in
the Healy Room for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and
in the Members’ Bar all day on Fridays only, from
10am to 8pm.
This allows more Members to utilise their Club for
comfortable yet elegant dining experiences, while
preserving formality in all other areas.
Dress denim must be tastefully paired with tucked in
collared long-sleeved shirts or tailored blouses, with
dress shoes or boots. Business appropriate denim
and hemlines are expected; distressed or torn denim
is not acceptable.
On weekends the Club Dress Code offers variations
for breakfast in the Healy Room to accommodate
our warm climate.
Collared short-sleeved shirts, tucked in. Chino pants,
dress denim or tailored shorts.
Enclosed leather shoes, including loafers.
Collared short-sleeved shirts or blouses. Tailored

Heeled or flat dress shoes, including ballet flats.
Health & Wellness Centre
Modest and safe gymnasium and athletic attire may
be worn when visiting the Health and Wellness
Centre on Level 5, or when entering and exiting
the Club for that purpose. Please change before
accessing other areas.
Members are responsible for ensuring guests are
aware of the Club’s Dress Code. Staff will make
every effort to assist but reserve the right to refuse
entry to those whose appearance detracts from
the Club environment or does not meet health and
Clothing items inconsistent with the Dress Code
include, but are not limited to, singlets, tank tops,
shirts not supported by a collar, track suits, football
jumpers, denim jackets, bomber jackets, cargo
shorts, board shorts, baseball caps, high visibility
clothing, any clothing that is torn, ripped, dirty or in
poor repair, clothing displaying offensive wording or
slogans, casual sandals or thongs.
Tattersall’s has always welcomed families and well-behaved
children to dine. Children over 16 years
of age may dine in the Members’ Dining Room
accompanied by a Member. Children under 16 may
dine in the Healy Room.
We ask parents to consider the following guidelines
for children dining. Children must not disturb fellow
diners, must remain seated with their family or host,
are encouraged to engage in conversation or read a
book, and all devices must be muted. Private rooms
are available for special celebrations with more
flexible environments for younger guests.
Tattersall’s is a place to converse with minimal
distraction from the outside world. To support this
tradition, the polite act of putting phones, laptops
and other digital devices on silent is highly valued
by Members, guests and staff. Calls can be made
or taken in the Business Centre, the O’Duffy Library
hallway and balcony, or on the North Balcony on
Level 2 if not in use, and in the lift lobbies. If in
doubt, please ask a staff member for guidance on
appropriate locations for phone usage. Quiet work
areas and charging stations are available in the
Library and Business Centre.
