Beaudesert Day Trip: Sporting Clays and Lunch 9am Sat 21 June 2025
Beaudesert is a pleasant weekend drive from Brisbane, and they have a good bushland shotgun range. Beaudesert Sporting Clays usually has one practice and one competition per month. We will visit them on Saturday 21 June for their practice day. They are at 303 Spengler Road at Tabragalba - which is a few kilometres east of Beaudesert. From Brisbane give yourself more than an hour to get there - including time for getting lost and parking your car. It is a bit hard to find. Once you get there, drive down the road to the back of the rifle range where there will be some parked cars. From there it is a short walk up the hill to the clays range office.
We are aiming to get there and assemble in the car park at 9am. You will pay the range fee and arrange for targets at the range office. There should be a shotgun for you to use in the group and the range will have ammo for sale. Remember to wear a cap, enclosed footwear and unlicensed shooters must bring photo ID such as a driver licence or a high school photo student card. If you don't have either a firearm licence or photo ID then the range will send you home.
After the shoot we will go to The Club at Beaudesert for a counter lunch. The Club is at 23-25 William Street in Beaudesert see https://www.theclubbeaudesert.com.au
